If you're interested in speaking at the Global E-commerce Summit, we'd love to hear from you. Before contacting us, it's important that you read the following.

The Global E-commerce Summit is one of the world's largest e-commerce events for online retailers, pure players and brand manufacturers.

We act as an advocate for conference attendees and seek to provide them with the highest quality experience, education and networking opportunities.

Global E-commerce's reputation is based on its high quality independent and non-commercial content. Our audience needs to have a high degree of confidence that, when it comes to setting the agenda and selecting speakers, our decisions are not influenced by sponsor pressures or by any personal interests. We take this responsibility very seriously.
Therefore, we don't invite sponsors, vendors or suppliers onto the stage. However, they are welcome to present a client case.

Topic, Content & Speaker Selection

The content committee of the Global E-commerce Summit, consisting of experts from BBP Media, Shop.org and E-commerce Europe, will be responsible for setting the agenda for the conference. Over months of research, reading, surveying, listening, networking and speaking with our target audience, we gain the means to define and select the hot topics, issues and challenges facing our attendees. We gain input from previous attendees and work with an industry-representative advisory board consisting of experienced, successful retailers and experts.

Self Promotion

Speaking at the Global E-commerce Summit is an enormously rewarding experience, providing extensive personal and corporate publicity through our industry-wide marketing. If you're selected to speak at the summit, you will gain the opportunity to be recognised as an industry thought-leader. By delivering a highly engaging, informative and educational talk, you gain credibility and leadership status within the online retailing community. This results in your brand being at the forefront of the minds not only of the attendees themselves but also the media who consistently report on the speakers they find most interesting.

However, you shouldn't see an invitation to speak at the Global E-commerce Summit as an opportunity to promote your company from the stage. Our Content committee and audience are extremely critical; therefore, you will do your own and your brand's reputation far more harm than good if you use your stage time as a company promotion/ sales pitch.

Speaker Rules

Should you be selected to speak, you will be required to agree to the following 'rules':

  • No selling from the stage - our attendees will not accept it, and neither will we.
  • Speakers who use their stage time to sell their product or credentials will not be invited back.
  • Company logo/branding will be permitted on opening and closing slides only. The Organiser reserves the right to modify presentations that include company logos/branding on all subsequent pages.
  • Presentations require to be pre-approved by the content committee
  • There must be strict adherence to the allotted speaking time.
  • You agree to have your presentation filmed and made available online (password protected).
  • All presentations must be unique and exclusive to the Global E-commerce Summit
  • You agree to make yourself available to speak with attendees at the event

Submitting Speaker Proposals

When you submit a speaker proposal, please make sure your submission contains:

  • Speaker biography – no more than 100 words
  • List of recent speaking engagements
  • Area of expertise – please be specific
  • Proposed topic with presentation name
  • List of five key takeaways attendees can expect from your presentation

What is the deadline for submitting speaker proposals?
We aim to have all speakers selected by the 1st of April 2015. However, we may still accept proposals after this time, in the case that any relevant opportunities remain available.
